Xchange Hotel

Having
not visited the Xchange for a number of years, I was pleasantly surprised
to see that it is still one of Melbourne's premier gay night
spots.
The
'younger' crowd are friendly, and the atmosphere was definitely a party
one!
The
Xchange's biggest draw card would have to be the large number of Drag
Performers who call the hotel home. With Miss Candee (the
Melbourne Drag Institution), Lucy Loosebox, Sur Ridge, Barbra Quicksand
just to name a few... plus they have shows from Wednesday to Sunday each
week!
While
the shows seemed quite short, and spread sparingly throughout the night,
they certainly were entertaining and loads of fun. Many of the
numbers were top 40 hits, catering well for the younger audience, which
nicely contrast to much of the other drag venues in town.
For
a 'gay ole' time, (and plenty of eye candy) the Exchange is certainly a
great night out!
